James O. George
Mr. George brings over 30 years of retail management, banking
and real estate experience to Pacific West Consulting Group, LLC.
Mr. George began his career in the banking business where he served
as a Vice President for both Crocker National Bank and Bank of America
in San Francisco, California. Mr. George then became a broker and owner
of his own real estate firm specializing in the acquisition, management
and disposition of properties.
During the early days of the home video business, Jim started
his own video store in the San Francisco Bay area, which ultimately led
to National Video in Portland, Oregon. At National Video, he was head
of Sales and Operations for this 700 store chain of video stores.
He then moved to Blockbuster Video where he served as Senior Vice President of
operations for over 500 stores. From there he became Executive Vice President
of marketing and advertising with Hollywood Entertainment, Inc. (Hollywood Video).
For the past ten years, Mr. George has served as an independent consultant for
the tanning industry. He serves on the board of Palm Beach Tan, a Dallas based
chain of 200 franchised and company salons. As a consultant to both Palm Beach
Tan and Desert Sun Tanning Salons in Washington and Oregon, he facilitated the
recent merger of those two companies. His work with Mystic Tan has resulted
in the installation of over 700 Mystic Tan booths in the Western United States.
Mr. George earned a B.A. from Willamette University Salem, Oregon; holds an M.B.A.
from Chapman University, Orange, California; and participated in Doctoral Studies at
Golden Gate University, in San Francisco, California.
Currently Mr. George serves as a member of Pacific West Consulting Group, LLC.
He is managing member in Pacific West Ventures, a Portland, Oregon based venture
group specializing in retail management. He is also a managing member of Pacific
West Leasing, which leases equipment to small and mid-sized companies.
He is also the sole owner of George Consulting & Investments, LLC, which is
a consulting business for retail establishments.
Dale A. Naftzger
Mr. Naftzger has been in the retail and restaurant business for over 30 years.
He began his career in the restaurant industry with Ponderosa Steak Houses as a
restaurant manager. During his 8-year tenure with Ponderosa, Mr. Naftzger
served as Corporate Director of Training, Director of Quality Control and
Assistant Vice President of Restaurant Operations.
Mr. Naftzger continued his restaurant career with Wendys International,
Inc. where he held various positions including Regional Vice President of Franchising,
Regional Vice President of Company Operations and ultimately as Zone Vice President,
Operations where he was responsible for the operation of over 400 company and
franchised stores. Upon departing Wendy's Mr. Naftzger accepted a position as
Zone Vice President of Restaurant Operations for Pepsico's Taco Bell
Division where he was responsible for the operation of both company
owned and franchised owed restaurants throughout the Southeastern United States.
Mr. Naftzger's restaurant career also includes positions as a Senior Vice
President with Checker's Drive-In Restaurants, and as President and CEO of
Delivery Concepts, Inc., a venture capital financed start up based in Atlanta, Georgia.
In 1996, Mr. Naftzger moved to Portland, Oregon as Senior Vice President of
Operations for Hollywood Entertainment, Inc. where he was responsible for the management
and development of over 420 retail locations. Mr. Naftzger was also responsible
for starting Hollywood Videos new Game Crazy division.
Mr. Naftzger currently serves as a member of Pacific West Consulting Group, LLC.
He also serves as a member of Pacific West Ventures, a boutique venture firm located in
Lake Oswego, Oregon specializing in the retail segment, and as a managing member
of Pacific West Leasing, a specialty equipment leasing firm focusing on small
to midsized companies.
Mr. Naftzger is a graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell South
Dakota with a B.A. degree in business administration and currently serves on
the Board of Trustees of the university.
Robert MacLellan
Mr. MacLellan's career encompasses restaurant and retail experience in
both the corporate and the entrepreneurial environment. Mr. MacLellan currently
serves as Chairman and Founder of Pacific Coast Restaurants, a multi concept
group of 27 casual and fine dining restaurants including: Newport Bay Seafood
Broiler, Stanford's Bar and Grill, Portland Steak and Chophouse,
Portland Deli Company, Billy Heartbeat, The Portland City Grill, and Manzana.
These restaurants currently operate in Oregon, Washington, California and Colorado.
Prior to founding Pacific Coast Restaurants Mr. MacLellan was President of MacLellan &
Associates, Inc., a small business consulting company with an emphasis on guiding companies
through the explosive growth stages of their business. Notable clients
included Safeco Insurance (Winmar Development), Stouffers, Minit-lube, Embassy Suites,
Sylvan Learning Systems, Papa Aldo's, Silicon Technology Corporation, and
numerous other restaurants and retailers.
Mr. MacLellan's entrepreneurial ventures also include owning and operating a number
of different franchised concepts such as Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers, Blockbuster
Video, and Baskin Robins. In 1980 he owned and operated six franchised Wendy's
restaurants in southern Oregon. His Medford Wendy's had the distinction of being
the highest volume restaurant in the chain at $1.7 million. Prior to Wendy's he
opened and developed Blockbuster Video stores in Alaska, Oregon, and California,
which he eventually sold to the parent company.
His corporate experience includes tenure with companies such as
Fotomat, PepsiCo's Taco Bell division, and Marriott Corporation's Farrell's division
where he served as a vice president.
